Bad Comedians!!

I myself hadn't really looked into comedians being racist, Because the ones i like are not!!! But all the articles i accessed seemed to concentrate only on white comedians being racist towards other ethnicity's, When i entered various debate rooms about racist comedians a lot of people had my view. That comedians 'making fun' of white people were seen as funny.

Why is Chris Rock seen as Funny and not Racist?

So i researched the comics that had the most sites i.e the most spoke of!! So firstly...Micheal Richards

• He was involved in a big racist attack, which was caught on video. this racist attack on a member of the audience included.....

This attack was clearly outrageous, its amazing how he can speak like that now. It is disgraceful, that's not comedy to me. Comedy is making jokes, Act immature etc not being racist!! The amount of times Ive seen a white comedian joke about how a black man walks and a black comedian making fun of how a white man walks.

But there are also other aspects of bad comedians. Deviant comedians have had a reputation through joking about the following aspects;

• Sexism, Andrew Dice Clay was well known for being discriminative of women.


• Homosexuality


• Basically being discriminating to anything they can!!!

Being Bad Module!!!!!!!!!

I preferred this Module as it was the only module that we could have a creative piece. I really enjoyed making up a story on my chosen subject 'Infidelity'. But i found it really difficult though to fit it into 300 words. As my imagination got a bit carried away!!!

But i did enjoy mixing together a essay and creative piece. I found the rationale quite difficult because there is only so many reasons behind infidelity that i had mentioned.

I enjoyed most of the lectures. My favourite lecture was the body modification one due to there being lots of slides instead of piles of writing.

Overall i thought the assignments were challenging but interesting.The essays were short and the module was open to you expressing your opinions.

Porn... Bad or Acceptable??

I walked into a innocent 'Express and Star' shop the other day and there was at least 3 shelves filled with porn Mag's!! I was quite shocked at this because obviously Ive seen them in shops before but not that many and not very concealed either!!!

This is where porn gets a bit unacceptable.. Children must be going in that shop and seeing those. I don't judge anyone who watches or enjoys porn, Everyone has their own life. But i do agree that it should be kept a bit private and in your own space. People shouldn't be judged because of porn, its ridiculous.

Look at footballers wives this was on at just past half 9 probably..This show was so explicit sometimes!!

It even showed a full blown sex scene!!!

This obviously isn't on quite the same level as porn, But it shows that nudity and sex is getting a lot more accepted.

But the 'Stereotypical creepy porn shop visitor' is still giving shifty looks if one sees him emerge from a porn shop. I will confess me and my friends went into one on broad street for a laugh and as soon as i looked in i felt physically sick, I wanted to run out. It was very extreme so i can see why people have deviant views about them.

But everyone needs to understand everyone has their own life and can do within it whatever they please unless its illegal!!

Even though its not my cup of tea, i wouldn't judge anyone for being involved in porn...

Porn to a degree is somewhat accepted in society, But it depends on the extremity of the porn. Its accepted if done privately, if its right in someones face...Such as reading a porn magazine on a bus!! The person is going to be seen as 'bad' or just avoided!!

I totally agree with Neelam's views here because she agrees to both sides of the contraception debate. I myself think its neither wrong to take contraception or If someone feels they don't want to use contraception in a serious relationship they have the right not to. Neelam's views for contraception were;

I agree with with this as i believe taking contraception is important to protect and prepare you for what Neelam has mentioned. Her opposing view was:

I agree with this as even though i wont judge people not using contraception, i will for people who are flippant and are not taking the contraception and sex seriously.

So overall i think that just because somethings right for you someone else's beliefs may differ. So its good to have an open mind around contraception.

Fighting!! GRRR

I myself have never had a fight, i know not very bad am i?

I know Ive already wrote about hooligans and their main activity apart from watching football is fighting...But I'm going to focus on how bad fighting can actually get.

Like the above picture fighting is used in films for various reasons, We laugh when we see Bevies and Butt head fighting or On 'Bottom'. But its no laughing matter on the more detailed fight scenes that can end in death.

Fighting in real life, recently turned into a craze, Such as 'happy slaps'. these started off as a laugh but when sometimes people were killed...It turned into very bad activity.

shows such as jackass should be banned because it encourages happy slaps, they are not going up to strangers and hitting them all the time, are they?

But this show is seen as bad, because no one else has the guts to fight their friends to the extreme!!! But anyway happy slapping is now such a bad activity from the extremes that its become...Like this picture where a woman suffering cancer was happy slapped as she was called a 'Skinhead'
So fighting whether it street fighting, happy slapping or just school fights is bad. Its getting worse with these stupid crazes.....But with films portraying a bad boy image if you fight and for men to have women falling at your feet, its going to be slightly tempting.

However much someone fights they will have a 'bad' stereotype attached to them, Look at some people on the news who've been in unlimited numbers of fights. Do you think they are a Mommy's boy or a bad Boy?

Stalking!!

When i think of stalking i only think of it happening to celebrity's and when its shown in films. i don't know anyone that's been stalked.

When do you qualify as a stalker? What if one of your crushes cant get it that you don't like them, then keeps texting and calling you, is that stalking?

When i did search for the definition, they wasn't very helpful!!

This obviously means that stalking is a bad thing to do. If you did stalk someone and this was broadcasted, how would your life be afterwards??

This therefore implies that its not only seen as really bad thing to do but its illegal in extreme cases.

I don't think the people that do stalk people are aware that their activity is bad, they are more likely to have some mental instability. Because its obviously really extreme behavior and to be performed you must be slightly unstable...

Paedophiles...Death Penalty for all.

I myself think that the absolute scum of the earth are paedophiles. Why there isn't more severe punishments i don't know.

Paedophiles in my opinion are the number one of being bad.

They should all be killed, Why some people get nearly the same sentence for fraud and crimes like that is beyond me. They are in my opinion the worst criminals ever. I find it hard even talking about them for being bad, 'Bad' is such a light word i could use for them.

You can tell that paedophiles are getting more widespread now as i came across the following link, http://www.kidscape.org.uk/parents/paedophiles.shtml. This link gives parents advice on how to protect their children form paedophilia activity. This is a good idea to protect children, but what sort of world do we live in now? Society must be getting pretty bad if these people exist.

Apparently 30% of offenders have had at least 10 child victims. What does this say about the English law system? Obviously they are not to blame, but there shouldn't be an offender who's had more then one victim!!! They should be locked up, So it cannot happen again! Look at the little girl Sarah, She had the nation trying to get hr offender locked up. Overall to combat them repeat offending, DON'T LET THEM BACK OUT IN SOCIETY!!!!

Drunk and Disordely!!

I myself loved getting drunk a while ago!!! But i sometimes got the feeling because i was a girl it was so BAD for me to get drunk, Boys can, My god its fine for them too. but i got called names etc when i got quite jolly.Maybe its just because alcohols bad.....

When you get drunk or have any alcohol in your system, you feel a bot more rebellious.You feel you can do a lot more stuff you couldn't do when your sober...

This may explain why alcohol is seen as so bad, You do bad things when u drink it. Whether its just being loud up town or running round the streets laughing...But it can get a lot more bad. Some people turn violent when they drink, causing fights almost killing people. Drink driving which does kill people. if people constrained themselves when they drank these things wouldn't happen.

But because of these things alcohol has now got a real bad name attached to it.

Being Too Religious!


This blogger has the same views as me as they are not religious but respect others that are.

This blogger says she doesn't feel the need to go to church as she feels comfort anyway. This is a good point. She refers to herself for not being religious but she hasn't slagged off religious people.



I hate people who have no respect and just start 'cussing' religion because its not their thing. Its no wonder religious people are going to get offended. This blogger understands that many people hold huge comfort for their religion.



I do agree with this blogger though when she said she walks away when religious people try to impose their views on us!! We respect your religion, so you need to respect our views.....

Drugs, Drugs and more Drugs....

Are they bad or 'ego' boosters??

Ooh drugs are bad bad things. look at all the celebrity's taking them thinking they are hardcore then they just end up in rehab!! Drugs are not a good thing, look at Pete Doherty he still takes drugs, hes 'confessed' to having half an hour a day of drug taking.He doesn't look too good does he anymore?

People take drugs where i go out and tell everyone about it, its not something to brag about. You may think its not that bad. You may say "well I'm only taking 'this' and 'that'", But when you take these all the time the rush is going to wear away so you look for a harder drug each time to give you an even better rush. This is how it develops, its not good.

Its seen in a double way in society, Some think its very very bad and others think its good that your 'macho' or 'cool' for taking them. But its partly the reason that its bad that people show off when they take them.

The picture on the left shows someone smoking Cocaine, bot pretty really is it?

In the lecture on smoking, there was videos shown of smoking being used to make people more admirable and look ether handsome or sultry. Drugs are not really used in this way all the time. I mean you wouldn't want to be one of the crazy 'crackheads' in films such as trainspotting would you? But in some films taking drugs such as 'Coke' are used to show a macho image mainly by men, Such as Football factory.

Is vandalism bad?

If it is when does then...When does it get bad??

When i thought about this, i think that vandalism is bad and not a good thing to do depending on the extent of it.

When i think of vandalism i think spray paint on walls etc and phone boxes trashed. This is whats illegal and can get you in trouble with police. The pictures below show extreme vandalism;

Well, in my opinion it obviously is, but it has a lesser 'Bad' label attached to it. You'd get in far more trouble for spraying your name on someones house wouldn't you?

I doubt the police would get called to your school for writing you name on your desk!!

So concluding it can be seen that vandalism is bad...But it depends on how far you go...

All vandalism is bad but it depends on the extent of It if you get arrested or not...!!

Swearing!

I personally swear without even realising that i am!! I do it so much when I'm with my friends but weirdly enough it never slips out when I'm with my parents, Even though I'm 20 this year they still don't like me swearing.

But in society it is a bad thing because;

• You don't walk round going "Shit shit fuck cunt bastard" well some do. But they just think it makes them look hard! When really people laugh at them!


• In your job you don't swear n front of you customers.


• You don't teach your children to swear.


• You can get arrested for swearing on the streets.


• You wouldn't just walk past someone and swear at them or put your finger up to them!!!

So all these points suggest its not an accepted thing, people do it to get a reputation. There was a girl in my school who every other word was a swear word, I think it was her way of looking hard and flirting. It didn't suit her at first but then after a while it did!!

Swearing is mostly used if you trip up! Or if you just are angry, this can be slightly accepted in your own private space but not on the streets.

But how can we get rid of this 'Hard looking swearing' Stereotype when its constantly being reinforced in films. Again with films like Football factory, these men are hard you wouldn't want to pick a fight with them, Hence the swearing!!

Racism!!

Being bad By Being Racist...

I myself am not racist, not in the slightest. I can never understand how people are racist. Why they feel they have to discriminate someone just by their colour. ITS WRONG!!! People have names don't refer to them by their colour PEOPLE HAVE NAMES!!!!

I myself have had racist encounters but when i tell someone about it people have this attitude that its not racism if its against a white person.

For an example, the whole big brother controversy, Don't get me wrong Jade Goody's behavior was unacceptable and she has deserved everything she has received.

But when Jermaine called Jades mum 'White Trash' why wasn't this brought to attention to the extent that the behavior towards Shilpa was?? Yeah some people might say "Oh but Jermaine only said one comment!" This doesn't matter he singled someone out and discriminated them by their race!!!!!!! This is a typical being bad subject, Racism is a bad thing. It shouldn't exist in society!!!!

But in order to eradicate it we need to look at all the concepts of racism, Its not just ONE RACE AGAINST ONE RACE, Its a whole wider scale and don't accuse people of being racist just because its Social stereotype....

Religion: Being too religious....

When i read this entry i agreed to some extent. I mean i full on agree to religion being too religious when it comes to cults. But this entry was referring to being religious full stop and how if it can control you from seeing your friends, its too religious.

Fair enough. I respect this bloggers views totally, im not trying to offended anyone, But i wanted to disagree to someones blog instead of agreeing to all of them!!! And in this blog had some strong opinions.

I have friends who are religious and they'd much rather go to their place of worship or just be at home with praying to their god. They are happier like this, they still see their friends but when it comes to just dossing about with friends or god... They chose god. Religion is a big part of some peoples lives and they don't see it as controlling their lives when it comes to not being able to go out with friends. Its their life and their god. I can understand why people got offended in this bloggers school when the blogger expressed their opinion. It was a catholic school after all, I wouldn't want to go to a catholic school permanently because im not religious!!!!!!!

But EVERYONE is entitled to their own view and i respect all of these but i just think everyone has their own life. People get their enjoyment out of religion.

I do agree to the extent of religion being too much when it involves cults and people are isolated from society. These are seen as being bad!

Hooligans!!!

I love the films 'Green Street' and 'Football Factory'. The people in these films are bad...very bad when it comes to football. They are hooligans and love going to the match and ending it with a big fight.

Its their life.

All this bad behavior, is done because its enjoyable and pleasurable. Hooliganism is a classic example. These films show this to a tee;

These Films are both on the same subject, The 'hooligans' involved look forward to a particular match, which is against their all time rivals...This equals the.....

ULTIMATE fight!!!

But apart form the violence this is where the similarities stop!! In green street it has a sort of 'Oh i learned my lesson ending' but in football factory no such thing happened, All the events that occurred in the football factory did not deter the main character from Hooliganism!!!! I think this shows how addictive some bad behavior can be!!

Hooligans are such good examples of being just by their stereotypical name 'HOOLIGANS' it just oozes rebellion. They fight, they drink, in both of the mentioned films they even take drugs regularly.

The hooligans mentioned in these films are maybe a little exaggerated from real life. But they do exist in my life Ive heard of several man who've died during the world cup etc. This is dangerous Behaviour and the above films show the consequences when they get out of hand. Bad or rather..Disturbing Cinema!!!

I was so shocked at the film shown!!! I mean Ive watched banned films, explicit films (not porn!!) and wasn't as effected as i was from this film!!

First the opening scene of the two kids snogging wasn't bad enough, But seeing a young girl who's probably just hit puberty, lying there near enough naked!!! Me and my mate didn't know where to look!!! The picture on the Right shows the 'nicer part' of the scene....I didn't want to search for the other ones!!!!!

I think its controversial because it shows things other films wouldn't

dare too, Such as;

• 'The kids' having sex



• Rape, and it taking place in front of other kids.



• The kids taking drugs and drinking



• The kids ganging up and beating someone up



• The lead 'Kid' actually having sex with just virgins.. This is seen as so bad because hes just a child himself!



• The language the kids use



• Aids



• Showing the girls in the film stripping off

These were just a few, It really is a great example of showing what being bad involves!!!

You probably think that some of the above are actually in films, such as rape and girls tripping off. But in this film its actual KIDS, Young girls trying to seduce the lads and setting an example that they sleep around. When I was their age i wasn't even thinking about having sex!!! I think that's why it seems so taboo to me.

But the rape scene was particularly disturbing, All i could think of was the young boys still sleeping around them while this was happening!!

But i do think it had a few hidden morals along the story, Such as the girl who'd only had sex once had contracted aids. Because most people get the idea they have to sleep around lots to get it. It was also horrible knowing this girl had aids and the boy she caught it from was sleeping with all these virgins. The girl was also raped so the disease was spread further through these 'Kids'!

I have never watched anything like this before!! Whether it is really like this for the kids who live in the same type of areas i don't know...

Cults...Being Bad or Religious....

I'm not a religious person..i respect peoples views but i sometimes find it difficult to understand how cults can develop and turn so sinister. Such as mass suicides, these may be rare but i could never understand how religion can develop to this stage.

According to the above you can understand why cults are seen as so bad, why they are rejected from society,but in most cases they reject themselves from society.

I think its the mass suicides which give cults such a bad reputation. Suicide is obviously a serious thing to do, so for all these people to do this in some cases for an encounter with an alien....Its very absurd.

But i think these cults are bringing a bad name to religion and giving presumptions and stereotypes to other sects, domination's and cults which are totally against suicide.

I think these Cults are very bad for society, Brainwashing people to think they are going to a better place.

But religion isn't bad so we shouldn't get confused.

I totally agree with what this blooger has to say, He comments on Robin Hood not really being a Bandit or an outlaw and that he did it for the good of his people. This blogger comments on the real 'Bandits and Outlaws' being Bonnie and Clyde and the people that actually murdered people for their own benefit.

I feel this whole subject is very dramatised, passed on through generations and the stories get more and more absurd!! This blogger comments on the fact that did robin hood actually exist? So ultimately is there ever good Bandits and outlaws?

Tattoos.....Tribal, Fashion and Extreme!!!!!

I personally love tattoos but i don't want one that anyone else has got, i believe in individuality. Like the lecturer said all these 'emos' who want these stars, they don't understand they've been around for ages!!!

Why have a permanent tattoo that you see everywhere? I just don't understand!!!!!

They aren't really seen as taboo anymore, they are a common thing, more of a fashion statement now i think, that's what puts me off having one.

Tribal tattoos are a ritual for the tribes, so its understandable they'd get angry if people stole their designs, such as the Robbie William's fiasco!!! The woman on the left has a full body of tattoos, This effect has widely been copied in western societies now. The Pics below illustrates this!!!!

But i think tattooing is seen as 'bad' in this case:

I think this picture shows tattooing to an extreme...i don't know if this tattoo is legit, it mentioned his dad tattooed him.

So in modern society tattooing has once again been a fashion thing, its a thing to show off now rather than be frowned upon because of this. But would an employer want to employ a person tattooed from head to toe? No...In most cases. this shows that tattoos are now excepted to an extent.

Body Modification...the best lecture so far....

I love the subject of body modification anyway so i found it totally interesting! I understand the whole concept of being frowned upon if you have piercings, tattoos or other modifications. When i go for job interviews or even hand my CV into places, i feel i have to take my lip piercing out in order to make a good impression. I had been stretching my ears but took them out recently from the impressions i thought i was giving. It is a whole fashion thing to do in my eyes, its not so rare these days. Once you modify something everyone else will do the same!!!

I'm so obsessed with this subject I'm going to list the piercings i think are most impressive and weird piercings ....

• Corset Piercing...i want this..
• 'Wolverine' Piercing, These are apparently temporary..I suppose they'd have to be to do most stuff with your hands..erm moving on...i got the pic from a random site!!

I just think its amazing the things some people are prepared to do to their body, I wish i had the confidence to do it!! Some of the piercings do grow out which is a bit crap really isn't it? pay that much and it falls out...I suppose they do it for the sudden rush of getting the piercing. My Mate had lots of random piercings just because she liked the pain!!!

I think making peoples heads turn is one of the reasons or maybe the fact of being individual. Body modification involving piercings though is quite a painful process, the more personal places you can get pierced are said to be for sexual purposes. Saying this when i was looking for pictures especially the piercing corset one the pictures were linked to quite 'erotic' sites!!! This can go to show that body modification to an extent is a strong sexual fetish....

It is seen to people that all the modifications around are modern but most of them stem from tribes. the woman below shows that ear stretching is anything but modern.
For the members of the tribes performing these modifications it was not all a form of fashion but religion a 'Cult' thing to do. Different cultures have different beliefs so whats not seen as the norm here can be a common and ritual thing elsewhere.
